This is where you can find my sale and trade lists, links to my feedback, photos of my collection, and anything else not directly related to the Preservation Project. It's also where I discuss my own philosophies about the restoration and customization of ponies.
Hi! My name's FarDreamer. I'm the little pony from Firefly's Adventure. You know, the one who never talks. I can't help it, I'm shy! I'm really good friends with Twinkle's the cat, she doesn't talk much either.
I've been collecting all generations of My Little Ponies, playsets, and accessories, as well as Fahion Star Fillies and similar horses, since 1999. I'm also lucky to still have all my childhood ponies.
Trouble . . .
I collect MLP merchandise from all four generations as well as Fashion Star Fillies and a few items from other toy lines. Click Here
When I was in high school, my MLP collection won reserve champion at the 2000 and 2001 Wabash County 4-H Fair.
That's like second place. It's pretty good, there were a lot of collections entered. The first year I Iost to a guy who collected John Deere merchandise. I was ok with that, the judge had a really hard time deciding between us, and his collection was unique and very well displayed. More than ten years later and I'm still bitter about 2001. I lost to a girl who collected Beanie Babies. They were just thrown in a basket, and that's not a very unique collection, especially back then. I think the staying power of MLP as a collectible proves my argument. You can't hardly give beanie babies away anymore.
Someday I'll find a collection competition adults can enter, and I WILL win!!!
The photo is of my 2001 display.
I'm a pet trainer and manager of the education department at a large animal shelter. I earned the CPDT-KSA certification in 2014 and am currently working to be a Certified Dog Behavior Consultant. I'm also a Canine Good Citizen evaluator, am certified in pet first aid, and assist clients with basic cat and small pet behaviors.
Currently we have fifty some small pets and 3 loosely trained but well behaved dogs. Unlike my pony avatar, I don't own a cat. Tulip has her CGC. She and PipSqueak enjoy dabbling in tricks, agility, and really any dog sport we try together. Trouble is a bit of a nervous nelly and prefers to stay home, but he's tried treiball and agility. You can see PipSqueak in a tricks show here: Go Dog Go. Nothing fancy, but we had fun! I was super sick that day, so please forgive how yucky I look.
PipSqueak is a model!
This was printed in the February 2017 edition of Antique Week!
